North Walsham is a railway station in the town of North Walsham in the English county of Norfolk. The station is served by local services operated by Abellio Greater Anglia on the Bittern Line from Norwich to Cromer and Sheringham. The station was formerly known as North Walsham Main railway station. Historically, the town was served by two adjacent railway stations; the existing station served the Great Eastern Railway line from Norwich to Cromer High, while nearby North Walsham Town railway station served the now closed lines to Melton Constable via Aylsham, Melton Constable via Mundesley and Sheringham, and Great Yarmouth via Potter Heigham. North Walsham Town closed on 28 February 1959, with Main station renamed simply "North Walsham". In March 2010, the station signs were changed to advertise Paston College. The signs now say "North Walsham" with the slogan "Home of Paston College" written beneath. The station is the site of the only passing loop on the route (although trains can also pass in the station at ), which has been worked remotely from Norwich since the line was resignalled in 2000. The station goods yard meanwhile is the last operational freight location on the line - GB Railfreight dispatches regular bulk trainloads of petrochemicals (gas condensate piped in from various offshore North Sea gas fields) from here to . Aggregate traffic (in the form of spent railway ballast) has also been handled here in the past. ==Train services== The following services currently call at North Walsham: 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「North Walsham railway station」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
